য়োথম প্রভুর অভিপ্রায় অনুসারে তাঁর পিতা উষিযর মতোই ঈশ্বরকে অনুসরণ করতেন| কিন্তু তিনি কখনও তাঁর পিতা উষিযর মতো প্রভুর মন্দিরে ঢুকে ধুপধূনো দেবার দুঃসাহস প্রকাশ করেন নি| কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও লোকেরা পাপাচরণ করে যেতে লাগলো|

And he did [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
